Do you enjoy teaching STEAM-based enrichment to kids? If so, Bricks 4 Kidz of Grand Rapids would love to hear from you. We are currently hiring After School Class Lead Instructors & Assistants!!

Bricks 4 Kidz is an innovative, hands-on, educational program teaching children all about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math using LEGO® bricks, motors and battery packs. You bring the experience working with kids, and we will teach you to build with LEGO® bricks, in a fun and engaging way.

This is a great opportunity for education and engineering students, schoolteachers, retired teachers, teachers re-entering the work force, stay-at-home parents, etc.

• Schedule: Must be available between the hours of 3:00pm and 6:00pm, at least two days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed, and/or Thurs). Classes are roughly 75 minutes long, shifts for after school classes are two hours. There are opportunities for more hours facilitating birthday parties, special events, summer camps, etc.
• Locations: Classes take place throughout Kent and Ottawa counties.
• Primary School Districts: Byron Center, Caledonia, East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Hudsonville, Northview, and Rockford. Teachers in the Holland/Zeeland area are also desired.
• After School Class Lead Teachers: $15.00-$25.00 per hour depending upon experience and class size.
• Permanent position during the school year. Summer work is also available.
• Bricks 4 Kidz has a great training program to support new instructors.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience and enjoy working with children ages 4-14.
• Must have reliable transportation to locations within 30 minutes of your home.
• Must be on time and have an excellent work ethic.
• Must have organization skills, be able to complete tasks on time and follow lesson plans.
• Enjoy math and science concepts.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Able to manage a class size of up to 16 students independently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
