About the Part-Time Seasonal Marketing Associate Staff Role

BRIC seeks a Part-Time Seasonal Marketing Associate who will work on-site at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park, during the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! season (May - August, 2024). This individual’s primary responsibility will be to support BRIC’s marketing team at every 2024 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! concert by administering audience surveys to festival-goers and supporting our Social Media Consultant with capturing content for social media. This person will also assist with other Marketing Department administrative needs related to BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! or other BRIC programming outside of scheduled show hours. The associate should have experience interacting with the public and be comfortable serving as an ambassador of BRIC and the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! experience.

What You’ll Do in the Role:

The Seasonal Marketing Associate will gain experience by assisting and coordinating in the following areas as well as any other project assigned by their manager, the Marketing & Communications Manager:

  • Represent BRIC on-site at the festival, at every show throughout the summer.
  • Assist Marketing team in administering audience survey at all performances.
  • Assist Social Media Consultant in capturing and editing content for social media networks including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Assist with Marketing Department administrative needs related to BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! and other BRIC programs
  • Develop an understanding of BRIC’s programs and areas of work through talking points provided by their manager.
  • Develop an understanding of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! operations to help guests have a positive festival experience.

Other Things to Know:

  • Compensation: The rate of pay for this position is $20/hour
  • Schedule & Location: May – August 2023, 3-4 days (15-20 hours) per week . Must be available to work ALL performances (primarily Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights).This is a seasonal part-time, non-exempt role based primarily at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park for scheduled performances, but otherwise at our Brooklyn office.
  • Food allowance: Onsite dinner during events.
