Location
This is a remote position, however, candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance to our Weymouth, Massachusetts office as they may be required to report to the office from time to time.
Availability/Hours
Saturdays 8AM to 8PM
or
Sundays 8AM to 8PM
While these positions are for weekends, significant training is needed. Candidates must be available to train during daytime and evening hours on weekdays.
Per Diem hours, 7 days a week, also occasionally available
Experience/Skills:
Prior experience in customer service in a healthcare environment and dispatch experience preferred.Ability to prioritize, make independent decisions and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Salary:
$20.25 per hour
Mobile Integrated Health Dispatch
Manage dispatching several MIH vehicles for multiple agencies over a radio while keeping track of incoming visit requests, estimating arrival times, maintaining documentation and
answering incoming phone calls.
Retrieve and prioritize requests for urgent Paramedic home visits.
Contact patients to complete screening and provide them with information about their upcoming visit.
Dispatch Paramedics to patient's homes and track their progress throughout the visit.
Inbound Medical Call Center
Answer incoming calls from Health agency patients, caregivers and business associates.
Provide customer service to callers by accessing their medical records and providing relevant information such as medication verification, patient care instructions and appointment confirmation.
Take detailed messages for on-call nursing staff for patient’s having medical issues. This includes asking appropriate questions to obtain details of a patient’s signs and symptoms for the on-call clinician.
Determine the appropriate on-call staff to refer patient medical concerns to and contact the clinician via text message with a detailed description of the patient’s issue(s).
Follow up with on-call nursing staff as needed to ensure patients receive prompt attention for their medical needs.
Document the details of messages referred to on-call clinicians in the Message Center and the patient’s EMR.
Take messages for non-urgent matters and document them in the Message Center and the patient’s EMR for follow up during normal business hours.
Tele-Health Monitoring and Wellness Checks
Identify patients in the Tele-Health system whose vital signs require a wellness check and initiate telephone calls to these patients.
Engage patients in conversation and ask appropriate questions to obtain specific information about any new signs or symptoms a patient is experiencing.
Update the patient’s EMR to reflect details of the well-being check phone call.
Contact the Clinical Manager via text message to relay any patient medical concerns.
Document the details of messages referred to the Clinical Manager in the patient’s EMR.
Follow up with the Clinical Manager as needed to ensure patients receive prompt attention for their medical needs.
Take messages for non-urgent matters and relay them to the Clinical Manager.
Outbound Medical Call Center
Place calls to customers to complete a customer satisfaction survey over the phone using online survey software.
Provide customer service to survey respondents as needed including identifying patients that may need medical attention.
