Qualifications/Certifications:
This position is responsible for analyzing cash flows and forecasting cash needs of the District. Key responsibilities of this position are to forecast and invest short-term and long-term funds in excess of the District's liquidity needs per policy, oversee daily balances of cash in various accounts, oversee cash and investment activity posted to the general ledger, and monitor cash accounts for fraud. The position requires preparation of reports for the School Board, for year-end reporting, and for auditing. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining debt service funds for the District, budget preparation, and post-issuance compliance. This position supervises staff and sets goals for personnel.
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
' Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited educational institution required.
' Three (3) years' experience in accounting with at least two years at the supervisory level required.
PREFERRED/DESIRED:
' Designation as a CPA preferred.
' Government accounting experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING:
REQUIRED:
' Valid Florida Driver's license.
