Department:PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT Organizational Unit:Central Area Parks Operations (50000052)

Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Part Time

Open Until Filled.

$16.05 to $17.66 hourly.Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area. Part-time/up to 25 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs experienced paraprofessional work in organizing, supervising, and coordinating recreational programs and activities at a County recreational area or facility.

REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience in leisure activities. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience utilizing personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Systems Rec-Trac, is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
