$16.88 to $18.57 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Performs experienced service maintenance work operating moderately complex automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of experience operating moderately complex automotive vehicles and equipment, including a ten (10) wheel standard shift dump truck, used in the construction of roads and underground utilities. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. This is heavy physical work and involves exposure to dirt, dust, noise, fumes, working in and around traffic and moving machinery, insects, and extreme weather conditions. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment used in construction projects.
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and update project schedules.
- Assist in construction estimating and cost control efforts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Practice time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure smooth project coordination.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field of construction equipment operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.88 - $18.57 per hour
