Our team in East Hartford currently has an opening for a Maintenance Operator
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct preventative maintenance to mechanical devices
- General maintenance; painting, cleaning, scrap and trash runs, emergency deliveries, pump overs and clean ups
- Interact with trade contractors (Plumbers, Electricians, Equipment Supply Companies, etc.)
- Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
- Perform emergency repairs
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role
- Mechanical knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical
- Familiarity using various power and hand tools
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
- Drivers' License
- Occasional Travel & overnights to Northeast facilities
