RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Load/unload and secure cargo.
• Record cargo deliveries.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Report incidents to the dispatcher.
• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
• Pre/Post Trip Vehicle Inspection Reporting
• Follow accident procedures.
• Maintain shift report and Electronic Logs
• Report mechanical problems to the dispatcher.
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Keep CDL and endorsements up to date.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years CDL driving experience; 1-year like-experience for tankers.
• Class A CDL
• 1 year of HazMat experience at least. 
• Interstate certification as well as Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements.
• Current TWIC Card.
• Clean MVR.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Knowledge of HazMat, FMCSA, and DOTD regulations.
• Able to provide Clearinghouse information.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or squat while being exposed to various climate conditions. An employee needs to be able to secure the load on the truck by strapping it in place according to the DOT guidelines as part of his job duties. Able to pull hoses to connect to valves/tanks. Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. sometimes overhead.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may be required to operate a forklift (equipment) when needed as part of his/her job duties.
