You will be at the forefront of technology monitoring, collaborating with highly motivated teams dedicated to analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying solutions to better monitor and fortifying our IT capabilities, reducing the Mean Time to Detect and Mean Time to Recover. Your attention to detail and quick decision making will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, capacity, and resilience of our products. Through collaboration with internal teams and tech experts across our network, you will make a difference to our Brand Partners and Customers. As a Manager of our IT Command Center, you will join a worldwide group responsible for 24/7 monitoring and Incident Response, serving as the eyes and ears of the IT organization's infrastructure and applications. In your role as a manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the team. Ensuring adequate and proper staffing, training, and mentoring of associates. Working cross functionally with experts across the organization to develop and tune monitoring, eliminate redundant workflows, and automate repeatable tasks. Your quick decision making will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization reduces its mean time to detect incidents and reduce the impact to our internal associates, our Brand Partners, and our customers. Job Description Essential Job Functions: Leadership and Coaching - Plan and execute staffing projections, associate development plans, mentoring and guidance for the team’s front-line associates. Document progress and adherence to run books/processes and provide course-correcting action as appropriate. Be a SME for training less experienced NOC Analysts. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and the commitment required for the success of a 24/7 operation. Communication - Communicate general, technical, and operational reports or assessments to appropriate stakeholders at all levels, ability to synthesize technical data for delivery to non-technical audience. Provide clear and concise executive level communication and updates on status, issues, and risks. Respond to complex problems escalated by leadership. Represent the IT Command Center on critical or enterprise-wide environment issues. . Process Management - Leads creation and ongoing maintenance of run books/process documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiencies, or automation opportunities and drive the identified improvements to closure. Collaborate with tech experts across our network to develop monitoring solutions for known problems to ensure the availability of production systems and ensure the team is professionally trained to properly utilize the tools and technologies. IT Monitoring & Analysis – Responsible for assisting the team in identifying IT incidents, making rapid decisions on the prioritization and impact of each incident, and taking steps to mitigate financial and reputational harm to Bread Financial. As a leader, you will be familiar with industry standard IT monitoring tools and internal team runbooks, in addition to leveraging business and system knowledge, to assist the team with correlating data across tools to properly action incidents in accordance with industry standard incident management frameworks and protocols. Mentor and train junior analysts. Monitoring Tools - Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Big Panda, Azure, or other industry-wide monitoring tools. Reports To: IT Command Center Manager, Sr. Manager Direct Reports: 1-7 direct reports Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 8 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH or Plano, TX Some travel may be required. This role is shift based (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and shift could vary depending on the need of the business. Normal office environment. Some travel may be required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. 4 years of experience working in a network operations center, SOC, or other operations center environment. 4 years of experience leading a team of people in a work setting. Experience working in ServiceNow. Experience working with Splunk. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science or related field of study. ITILv4 Foundations Certification. CCNA Certification or similar. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of ITIL processes and experience with Azure. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell etc.). Experience working with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or other industry-wide monitoring tools. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong organizational, problem-solving skills and verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis. Ability to work with little to no supervision in a high-pressure situation and be able to multitask effectively. Typical Starting Range: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 Full Salary Range for position: California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00 Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00 New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00 Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00 The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills. Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan. All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO. Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
