Position Overview: As a key member of our team, the Commercial Electrical Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for determining the approximate costs of various electrical installations for commercial projects. This individual will be fully responsible for the project from start to finish and should be able to identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients to determine the scope of each project, price jobs, invoice jobs, manage jobs, approve vendor invoices, etc.
• Analyze blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes
• Research market prices to determine the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy
• Determine the amount of labor required to complete each project
• Assess the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions
• Complete and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines
• Perform Project Management on awarded jobs and assist others when not estimating

• Panel replacements and upgrades

• Power additions and upgrades
• Aluminum wiring remediation
• Equipment wiring

• Projects will range from small and large commercial facilities to apartment complexes and beyond

Required Skills:

• Detail-oriented
• Possess sound knowledge of electrical codes
• Prefer at least 3 years of estimating experience
• Prefer at least 8 years of field experience
• Service Titan Knowledge a definite plus
