Brazos Valley Physicians Organization-MS is Hiring a Transporter Near Bryan, TX

Job Summary:

The patient transporter will be expected to display a positive image and professional behavior throughout the workday. They need to have good communication skills as they will be directly communicating with the patients as they assist them to and from appointments. Patients should feel safe, comfortable, and welcome while with transport. The transporter will need to be able to assist patients in and out of wheelchairs using proper techniques and push occupied wheelchairs in a safe manner. Proper cleaning of medical equipment between uses will be expected for the safety of all. There will also be times when the transporter is expected to deliver medical equipment and lab specimens to the appropriate department within the facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs.
  • Transport patients throughout the clinic and facility.
  • Ensure patients are comfortable during transport.
  • Communicate with patients during transport for best experience and patient satisfaction.
  • Clean transport equipment between patient uses.
  • Deliver specimens and medical supplies throughout the clinic and facility.
  • Assist in cleaning and preparing patient rooms between use.
