Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals, Waco PLLC is seeking a qualified individual to join our team who is motivated to help us care for horses. We are a premier group of equine practices with multiple locations in Texas. We are a busy, interactive practice with over 70 team members and we believe in our ability to help people through the care of horses. We are seeking a team player to work with our veterinary staff and hospital technicians. Horse experience is required.

Applicants must be able to maintain routine physical activity, possess a steady personality, be able to build relationships with our clients, and have the ability to manage their time. This is a busy and interactive position that will require communication and teamwork skills.

Duties include (but are not limited to)

• Ability to operate and drive a tractor
• Be able to handle horses, catch them, and relocate to different stalls without assistence
• Work with assigned doctor
• Administer medications
• Assist with outpatient and ambulatory appointments as well as emergencies
• Set up, clean, and breakdown diagnositc equipment
• Ensure all areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained
• Knowledge of basic equine physical and critical exam
• Feed all horses and keep stalls clean
• Data entry

This position is supported by a managing veterinarian, office manager, receptionists, and other technical staff. This position will work in our Waco hospital.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Rotating weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Horse: 1 year (Required)
• Veterinary Technician: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Waco, TX 76705: Relocate before starting work (Required)
