JOB
Assists the general public with library and reference materials and provides other necessary library functions within established guidelines by performing the following duties.Shift: 24 hours per week, Monday-Saturday, including some evening hours**Must submit resume and cover letter**
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists library patrons, including but not limited to: Checking materials in and outAccepting requests for library materialsAnswering questions Providing light reference and readers’ advisory serviceAnswering the telephone and directing calls as necessaryAssisting with computer and printer/copier useImplements library policy and regulationsOperates online automated circulation system (ILS)Handles procedures for overdue, lost, or damaged materials Counts money and prepares daily reports Shelves library material as neededAssists with library programs as needed, including program preparation and presentation Records daily statisticsAttends staff meetings and serves on committees as requestedReconciles ILS-generated reports Performs other work as needed, including but not limited to special projects and supervisor assignmentsRegular attendance is required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis is not a supervisory position.
