Bravera Insurance is hiring for a Crop Insurance Advisor in Carrington, ND. This position is responsible for developing enduring professional relationships with current and potential clients founded on an in-depth analysis of their insurance program, uncovering exposures, and offering solutions to meet individual needs.

Measures of Success

  1. Develop an intrinsic understanding of the insurance industry (specific to an area of focus).
  2. Build and maintain professional relationships with current and prospective clients.
  3. Seek out, meet, propose, and write insurance programs for ideal future clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Achieve objectives jointly established in annual producer business plan.
  2. Primary responsibility is to maintain and develop existing client relationships, generate targeted new accounts, respond to referrals for Bravera Insurance in order to meet new business and overall book growth goals.
    • Contact Prospects for the purpose of providing a proposal and making sales appointments
    • Survey Prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products, and records
    • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductible and other pertinent information.
  3. Provide a complete risk review for current and prospective clients regarding exposure and follow up on all proposals and recommendations to assure adequate coverage is provided.
  4. Introduce Account Manager to clients and request that service calls be directed to them and forward all service-related calls to assigned service person.
  5. Coordinate with Account Manager to assure all applications and on-line documents required by carriers are completed accurately and efficiently.
  6. Communicate company expectations regarding payments and cancellations to customers.
  7. Review with Account Manager upcoming expirations regarding special instructions for renewals. Will meet with customers regarding renewals.
  8. Will review endorsements, claims, audit information, etc. as referred from Account Manager in an efficient manner.
  9. Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations
  10. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
  11. Adhere to all insurance rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
  12. Required to utilize a company vehicle when available. Some overnight travel may be necessary. Must maintain an acceptable driving record in order to maintain coverage under Bravera’s vehicle insurance provider.
  13. Contribute intentionally to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holdings Corp.

Qualifications

1. Education

  • Valid Resident Insurance License
  • Strong desire for continuing development
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, sales, marketing, or related field.

2. Experience:

  • Insurance Background preferred
  • Financial or Sales related may be acceptable.

3. Skills/certifications:

  • Sales aptitude
  • Professional communication
