Brashier Polk Cleaners is Hiring a Production Team Member(Laundry) Near Greenville, SC
Job Title: Production Team Member(Laundry)
Status: Employee, hourly, 30-35 hours per week
Compensation: $13-$14 per hour
Role Overview:
A Production Team Member must be able to operate machines for the washing, and finishing of
household products and garments made of fabric, such as clothing, blankets, rugs, and
draperies.
Your Team:
You will work with other production technicians.
You will report to the Production Team Leader/ plant manager
Key Responsibilities (roles):
1. Sort/Clean/Spot
2. Maintain production goals.
3. Fabric identification.
4. Operates washing machines to clean.
5. Cross-trained in as many Production Technician positions as possible.
6. Works well as a team member with other team members.
7. Has the ability to follow direction from the Production Team Leader. Must be willing to
accept positive constructive suggestions.
8. Notifies the Production Team Leader of any problems with equipment or challenges with
processing their assigned items.
9. Follow the production schedule in the correct “lot sequence.”
10. Performs other duties assigned.
11. Keeps the work area neat and clean.
12. Maintains a professional appearance.
13. Attends production meetings as requested.
Key Competencies:
Able to see colors.
Good motor skills without being rough on items.
Knowledge of fabric types and types of pressing needed for each type of garment.
Physical Requirements:
Good eyesight.
Physical endurance to stand for the entire shift.
Have the right mindset to do repetitive work.
Must be able to handle cleaning produces(collar scrub, and stain remover).
Desired Results/Performance:
Meet handling standards on a pieces per hour basis.
Conditions:
Very hot in summer.
Can be cold in winter.
Environment can be dangerous with moving equipment, chemicals, and different types of
machinery.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Pieces per Operator Hour.
2. Pieces returned from Quality Inspector as unacceptable.
Training Schedule:
1. Production Team Member training (2weeks)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
