Job Title: Mowing Crew Member

Department: Lawn Maintenance

Location: Inkster, MI

REPORTS TO: Crew Leader & Operation Manager

Brantley Development is a Municipal Grounds maintenance company looking for general labor landscape and mowing crew members who are highly motivated and reliable. As a General Labor Mowing Crew Member, you will be responsible for providing lawn maintenance to municipal and commercial properties. We expect you to provide quality service safely and efficiently. As a crew member you will complete a variety of lawn maintenance tasks, mowing, trimming/weed whipping, grass/leaf blowing, and other full-service lawn maintenance seasonal operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Perform general landscape duties, including mowing, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, trimming, pruning, laying sod, planting, fertilizing, watering, raking, removing leaves/thatch/litter/debris, bed prep, backpack blowing, and other related landscape activities
  • Safely operate and maintain various light equipment and hand or power tools, including trimmers, backpack blowers, etc.
  • Be willing to learn how to operate commercial mowing equipment, including Exmark Zero-Turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers etc.
  • Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner, and maintain work areas that are safe for self, the customer, the public and the environment.
  • Perform physical labor daily
  • Work hard and be productive
  • Communicate with team leader about job site and or service issues.
  • Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Be a self-driven, disciplined, focused, safe worker
  • Work outdoors, occasionally exposed to extreme heat and cold.
  • Ability to help in all areas of the company when needed.
  • Frequently lift up to 50lbs

Variable weather conditions will apply. Hours and days may fluctuate due to weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16-$20 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Inkster, (48141): Reliably commute

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
