Branex Group is Hiring an Electrical Designer Near Toledo, OH

POSITION SUMMARY:

Electrical designers oversee creating electrical schematics, layouts, and bills of materials. They must develop effective, safe electrical diagrams and perform design computations using their engineering skills. Additionally, electrical designers prepare drawing packages that support code specifications, participate in staff meetings to oversee planning methods, and review project needs to adapt their performance accordingly. Keeping design documentation and using company resources efficiently are essential in this role, as is following strict safety requirements to avoid electrical accidents.

To be successful in this role, electrical designers must be results-oriented problem solvers who work well both on their own and in a team environment.

Additionally, they meet deadlines and use their superior communication skills to present their progress to superiors in their department. An associate degree in electrical design or engineering technology is desired, but not required for this job. Additional experience in drafting or industrial design may be helpful. Electrical designers must also be familiar with statistical process control methods.

ASSIGNMENTS / DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, vendor quotes, drawings and diagrams for creating electrical designs for the customer.

· Revise drawings and designs based on change orders and customer requests.

· Perform calculations in preparation for designing products.

· Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts.

· Create electrical schematics, layouts, one-line diagrams, and pneumatic schematics in AutoCAD environment.

· Develop effective, safe electrical diagrams and aid in the installation of equipment as needed.

· Perform design calculations using engineering skills.

· Prepare drawing packages that support electrical code specifications.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

· Associate’s degree in electrical design or engineering technology, or equivalent successful experience in a similar automation industry role.

· Proficient in AutoCad

· Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills

· Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions while maintaining confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds. Must be able to talk, walk, stand, and sit an office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
