JOB SUMMARY
Brandt Hospitality Group IT is committed to delivering secure, high-quality, low-friction technology to our end users, freeing them up to focus on their job duties. An Application & Systems Manager contributes to this mission by maintaining, updating, and optimizing our various systems and applications. 
This role requires strong expertise in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph scripting, API development, system administration, and change management processes coupled with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. The Application & Systems Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our technological infrastructure while driving innovation through automation and continuous improvement. 
RESPONSIBILITIES
System Maintenance and Enhancement: 
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades of our systems and applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and functionality. 
  • Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, and proactively address potential issues. 
Configuration Management: 
  • Develop and maintain configuration profiles for various systems, ensuring uniformity and compliance with established standards.
  • Monitor and manage configuration changes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of discrepancies. 
API Interface Management and Development: 
  • Oversee the integration and management of API interfaces between different systems and applications. 
  • Lead the development of new APIs and the enhancement of existing ones to streamline processes and enable data exchange.
Scripting and Automation: 
  • Utilize advanced scripting techniques, particularly in PowerShell and Microsoft Graph, to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. 
  • Design and implement scripts for system administration, data manipulation, and reporting. 
Change Management: 
  • Lead the planning and execution of change management processes related to system updates, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionaland inter-departmentteams to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: 
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Develop user-friendly end-user documentation and guides to empower users in navigating systems effectively. 
Problem Solving and Technical Support: 
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to systems, applications, and APIs. 
  • Provide timely technical support to end-users, diagnosing problems and offering practical solutions. 
QUALIFICATIONS
  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to analyzing and resolving complex technical issues. 
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, for automating tasks and improving operational efficiency. 
  • Proficient in developing, managing, and enhancing APIs for seamless data exchange. 
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users. 
  • Skillful documentation ability to create clear and concise technical documents and user guides. 
  • Project management skills to lead change management processes and coordinate system updates. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Detail-oriented mindset for configuring systems, managing profiles, and tracking changes accurately.
