We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern based in Albany, NY or Remote. This internship will run from May 20, 2024 - August 2, 2024 and is open to Undergrad and Grad students.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Implement lean 5s methodology at large Brandsafway branch locations with a focus on separation of personnel & powered industrial trucks (PITS).
Focusing on material storage and product flow in the yards to achieve this.
Design a standard layout of the co-located motorized equipment repair work areas.
Create an updated material handling & storage manual using historical manuals. This manual will be used to train new hires at branches.

What You Need To Succeed:

Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Masters or Under grad degree in Engineering or related field.
Ability to participate in a full time internship between May 20, 2024 - August 2, 2024.
Lean methodology
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills
Strong excel and PowerPoint Skills
Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
Understanding of Ergonomic principles
