Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing chairside assistance, performing dental procedures, and maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing instruments, and passing instruments during treatment
- Provide chairside assistance by anticipating the dentist's needs and ensuring patient comfort
- Perform basic dental procedures such as fillings, temporary crowns, and sealant applications
- Take accurate patient medical history and document treatment plans in Dentrix or other dental software
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing patient records, and processing insurance claims
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification)
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.73 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
