Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies. Your role will contribute to the overall success of our organization by maintaining optimal inventory levels and fostering strong relationships with suppliers.

Duties:
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
- Place purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to forecast demand
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders or deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with materials management and production planning processes
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market trends and pricing information
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
