POSITION SUMMARY:

The Grow Guide will live out the Branches model of transformational service and inspire active and joyful participation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transformational Service

• Radiate and inspire the Branches value of WORTH and WELCOME by developing positive, caring, and meaningful relationships
• Radiate and inspire the Branches value of WITH by joyfully connecting and building relationships
• Radiate and inspire the Branches value of WORDS by praising, affirming, and breathing life into students, families, and teams
• Radiate and inspire the Branches value of WALK by intentionally guiding students in embracing Branches values and by encouraging positive behaviors
• Radiate and inspire the Branches value of WONDER by animating learning opportunities with the preparation and creativity necessary to ensure active and joyful engagement

Operational Excellence

• Provide assistance in delivering coaching opportunities that accelerate academic recovery and potential
• Provide assistance in centering and enrichment opportunities that support social, emotional, and spiritual well-being and resilience over the long-term
• Promote and uphold existing organizational and programmatic policies as detailed in the Branches Employee Handbook and the Branches Student Services Operations Manual
• Complete daily tasks effectively and collaboratively
• Provide assistance in facilitating field trips and community events
• Attend any trainings as required or needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an afterschool enrichment setting providing services to children and families at the Branches Community Center site. Additionally, in light of the current pandemic (COVID-19), this position may require hybrid and/ or virtual connections.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma; some college preferred
• One year of experience in a nonprofit organization and/or after-school program preferred
• For Branches students in high school: must be in good academic standing
