Braintree Manor HealthCare is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) Near Braintree, MA

Currently seeking an exceptional Assistant Director of Nursing & Staff Development (ADON/SDC), Registered Nurse, RN to join our team! Are you looking for a great employment opportunity? Our ideal candidate is honest and caring with good clinical skills who desires to be a vital link in educating the nursing care team and all staff members. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary for this position. The ADON/SDC will provide education, training, educational guidance and support to the facility.

Scope of responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing and directing the daily operations of the nursing department in accordance with Federal & State guidelines.
  • Participate in developing; maintaining and periodically updating written nursing policies, procedures, reference materials, manual, objectives and philosophies.
  • Make reports and recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services and Administrator concerning operations of the department.
  • Work with inter-disciplinary team in coordinating nursing services with other resident services.
  • Participate in the survey & inspection process.
  • Assist in hiring, training, evaluating and disciplining nursing personnel.
  • Assist and participate in developing a care plan and comprehensive assessment of each resident.
  • Oversee infection control process and procedures.
  • Assume duties of DNS in their absence.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed by the State
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility, preferred
  • Prior experience working with patients with TBI, Huntington's Disease, preferred
  • Must have a thorough understanding of nursing scope of practice, procedures, laws and regulations governing long-term care.
  • Completion of CDC Infection Control online course.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
