Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley,... is Hiring a Clinical Director Near Harrisonburg, VA

Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley is a local nonprofit providing free services to individuals who have been diagnosed with a brain injury. These services include case management, community support services, behavior support facilitation, information and resource referral, education and advocacy. Case Management is the primary service which includes coordinating services, resources, and supports for individuals such as financial, employment, education, housing, assistive devices and independent living.
Clinical Director
Duties (visit bicsv.org for extended list of job duties):
  • Provide supervision and training to case managers and student interns
  • Provide direct case management to 3-5 individuals
  • Work collaboratively with case managers and Triage team to provide client skill building, outcome improvement, and resolve any client issues
  • Ensure compliance and prepare reports for Medicaid, funding contracts, and agency accreditation standards
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness in serving clients
  • Conduct outreach, develop new relationships, and collaborate with other BICSV staff and the Brain Injury Alliance of Virginia
Experience (visit bicsv.org for extended list of requirements):
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work
  • Case management experience required
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Certification, or action plan for acquisition of certification, as a brain injury specialist
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and rehabilitation programs
  • Must be able to read, write, and proofread at a professional level in order to prepare clear, accurate and concise reports
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft and Google software and database systems
  • Familiarity with CARF accreditation and providing Medicaid services a plus but not required.
