About Us:
Brain Injury Association of Ohio is a dynamic and mission-driven organization dedicated to creating better futures for brain injury survivors. We are seeking a motivated and passionate Community Events Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our fundraising, special events, and community outreach efforts.

Job Summary:
The Community Events Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the organization's fundraising initiatives, planning and executing special events, and enhancing community outreach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for engaging with the community to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Prepare grant proposals and manage the grant application process.
  • Maintain donor database, track donations, and prepare regular reports on fundraising activities.
  • Coordinate direct mail campaigns and online fundraising initiatives.

Special Events:

  • Plan, organize, and execute special events, including fundraisers, galas, community events, and donor appreciation events.
  • Develop event concepts, themes, and budgets in collaboration with the team.
  • Secure event sponsorships and in-kind donations.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and volunteer management.
  • Oversee event marketing and promotion to ensure maximum attendance and engagement.

Community Outreach:

  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the Brain Injury Association of Ohio at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop and implement outreach programs to increase awareness and support for our mission.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or community outreach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the Brain Injury Association of Ohio's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of local community resources and networks.
  • Creative and innovative mindset for developing new fundraising and outreach initiatives.
