Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer you will be required to perform multiple duties at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager. This position is project based, expected to last the duration of the project (approximately 1-2 years). Project Engineer needs to have the following abilities:

• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Support Project Manager
• Writing and tracking of RFI’s and Submittals
• Document Control, distribution and tracking
• Red line drawings and keep field verified as-built drawing sets up to date.
• Monitor completion of fabrication and installation
• Can produce bill of materials from drawings, specifications, and engineering standards
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and editing of pdf documents.
• Interaction with client, supervision, engineers, and other members on the project team.
• Assist in project closeout documentation
• Monitor and track daily progress and develop field progress reports.

Additional abilities that would be helpful but not required are:

• Ability to read and understand concrete and structural steel drawings.
• Scheduling ability in either Microsoft Project or Primavera
• BS degree in engineering or construction

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• College education preferred.
• Advanced training courses, trade school participation, or field construction experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Hourly: $25-35 hourly (The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual hourly rate will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience).
