Responsibilities:

• Follows cleaning schedule as outlined by supervisor – maintaining and daily cleaning of all individual congregate living spaces and resident rooms
• Cleans, dusts, washes and disinfects all fixtures, floors, wall, ceilings as directed (including but not limited to water fountains, sinks, mirrors, glass panels, ledges, shelves, vents, windows, window sills, etc.)
• Arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion
• Supplies paper goods to each residents, replenishes toilet paper, facial tissue andsoap as needed
• Empty and clean waste baskets
• Services floors in all resident rooms, baths, lounges, offices and common areas
• Vacuums carpeting in assigned areas
• Cleans bathrooms in assigned areas, including sink, shower and toilet
• Maintains equipment used in performing duties
• Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste; keeps an accurateinventory of all supplies
• Maintains confidentiality in discussing resident, staff, volunteers and organizationalmatters
• Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job withoutbeing thrown off stride
• Participates in mandatory facility inservices and inservices relevant to jobdescription.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Housekeeping operations, an asset
• Willing to be cross trained for laundry duties
• Able to learn and follow pre-established sanitary cleaning procedures
• Able to learn and follow sanitary guidelines for handling clean and soiled bed andbath linens and resident clothing
• One year experience in an Assisted Living Residence, Adult Home or Long termCare Setting, an asset
• Good verbal and written communication skills and personal initiative
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Physically capable of performing all assigned duties within a flexible work schedule

Requires at least a covid vaccine and proof of immunization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.10 - $16.30 per hour
