Summary / Objective The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Coordinator is responsible for providing support to staff in their use of EHR / HIM system.
This includes support of Meditech EMR / EHR software and hosted services, CPSI Legacy system upkeep & access, EHR user trainings, form and report design, and working knowledge of associated Health Information Technologies (HIT), including Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).
The HIPAA Privacy Officer ensures the confidentiality of all patient PHI. This is a salaried position, with after hours call expectations.

Work Environment This job is in a healthcare setting and will involve minimal patient contact. Will involve contact with employees, physicians, and outside agencies.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position involves a large portion of sitting and typing.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work EMR Coordinator is expected to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. This is an exempt position and there will be times where hours will be expected outside of the normal business office hours.
However, those hours should be very limited and the employee has the option to make those hours up when necessary during normal business office hours.
Travel Minimal Travel is expected
Required Education and Experience
Education :
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and / or Bachelor's / Associates Degree in Nursing with current Arkansas Compact State RN licensure.
Skills / Attributes Required :
Effective communication skills
IT Systems Knowledge
Minimum of 5 years clinical nursing experience as an RN in a hospital setting.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement processes.
Previous experience with CPSI & Meditech software preferred.
