Description

Just 4 Kids Health is seeking a Registered Nurseto provide remarkable patient care for our pediatric patients. The RN will perform a variety of nursing duties including blood draws, catheterizations, breathing treatments, and various lab testing. Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is open Sunday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., including most major holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes patient history and obtains vital signs prior to provider seeing the patient.
• Performs basic testing and screenings.
• Completes corresponding computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue, and culture samples.
• Performs subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections and accurately documents according to the policy for that procedure.
• Dispenses and documents prepackaged medications and other treatment modalities.
• Assists providers with exams and procedures.
• Performs procedures as instructed by the provider (ear irrigation, eye irrigation, nasal suctioning, IV placement, and IV hydration).
• Maintains confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
• Operates and maintains in-house lab equipment.
• Ensures a superior patient experience, by embracing the Just 4 Kids mission and values.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The preferred RN will have the following:

• Must hold a valid Idaho nursing license.
• Current BLS and/or ACLS certification required (certification is offered in-house).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Keen observational and problem-solving skills.
