Job Title: Finance Director

Company Overview:

At Brad Daugherty Construction, we're a growing Custom Builder specializing in Residential and Commercial projects. Located in Crossville, Tennessee, we are committed to building a team that supports our values and drives our vision forward. Currently, we are in search of an experienced to join our team and help streamline our accounting processes.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized to manage our day-to-day accounting needs using QuickBooks software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, including transactions, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Manage cash flow and capital structure to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure proper closing of books, audits, and compliance with government regulations.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for all departments.
  • Handle monthly payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Optimize accounting workflows and suggest improvements in processes and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in senior financial management roles, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and sound judgment in financial decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision when entering financial data.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Experience in services related to payroll, purchasing, or invoicing may be advantageous.
