Full time (0.9 FTE, 36hrs/wk) night shift RN position with weekend and holiday requirements. Minimum requirement for hours worked is 36hrs/week following a full time (36hr per week) orientation period of approx 8-10weeks. ** Must also be available for a full time (Mon - Fri) pre-orientation hospital onboarding week.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)

American Heart Association BLS

Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing

Essential Job Functions:

Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession

Two hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually

Stroke Competency:

Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke

Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stoke) education within one year of hire

Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times

Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment

Creativity, problem analysis and decision making

Ability to work varied shifts

Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
