Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is Hiring a Seasonal Resource Development Generalist Near Denver, CO

The Seasonal Resource Development Generalist is an integral part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver's (BGCMD) team-oriented Resource Development department. Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, the position is a key contributor who supports the planning and execution of BGCMD's Annual Gala and development operational needs. This position is responsible for expense and logistics management, data entry and working with external and internal stakeholders to create memorable events, support critical data entry and advance our relationships with our community.

The essential job duties for this role include:

• Supports the planning and execution, including managing project timelines and
expense budgets and workflow, of the Boys & Girls Clubs Gala

• Support data entry needs of Resource Development

• Oversees the success of the annual Silent Auction from item procurement and
tracking to package assembly, launch of web-based bidding prior to day of event and
day-of facilitation

• Ensures benefit fulfillment for event sponsors and attendees in collaboration with
internal Marketing and Communications team

• Collaborates with the Resource Development team to align the event’s purpose,
goals, and outcomes with BGCMD’s overall brand/communications strategy and
fundraising goals

• Supports a predetermined budget by tracking and reporting on event revenue and
expenses, including check requests and invoice management within internal
reporting systems

• Uses customer service skills to establish and manage relationships with event
sponsors, vendors, donors, and other partners

• Works with Events Contractor in support of contract and vendor negotiations

• In partnership with relationship managers - identifies, solicits and cultivates vendors,
and other partners for in-kind products or services for events (e.g. beverages) to
ensure optimal cost effectiveness and budget management

• Leads event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking and pre- and post-event evaluations of event effectiveness. Conducts post-event wrap up.

• Flexibility to work and increase necessary hours based upon organizational need,
including the increase of hours up to 30 days prior to the event date.

• Available a minimum of 20 hours a week from October 30, 2023 through December
22, 2023. After January 1, 2024 available a minimum of 25 hours per week through
March 30, 2024. April 1, 2024 through April 26, 2024 must be available a minimum
of 30 hours per week.
