KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the preparation of nutritious meals for youth

1. Assist with the preparation & service of meals as directed from the NJ Community Food Bank
2. Ensure meals meat the NJ Food Bank state standards
3. Assist with tracking & recording individual members attendance and submit attendance / meal count reports in a prompt manner
4.  Maintain up-to-date inventory of all supplies

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May participate in special programs and/or events. .

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in working in commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of proper food handling and serving
• Ability to prepare meals for 125 – 200 children per day
• Serve safe food handler’s certificate recommended
• Ability to plan and implement monthly nutrition lessons with youth
• CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Valid State Drivers License
• Criminal Background check required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Standing, heavy lifting 

Qualifications
