Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford & Cecil Counties is Hiring a Child Care Teacher Aide Near Cecilton, MD
Position Type: Part-time | Before & After School
Job Summary: The Child Care Aide is responsible for planning and implementing daily programs and activities in the designated site area.
Hours of operation 6:45am-9:00AM and 3:00-6:00 (Wednesdays from 1:00-6:00PM). Additional hours gained through planning time and Boys & Girls Clubs meetings/trainings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately promote the club and programs to potential club members and their families.
- Plan activities with direction from the site child care teach and/or director.
- Lead daily activities including program implementation, organization of assigned rooms, ensuring daily plans are followed by club kids and staff.
- Ability to build and maintain positive and professional relations with youth and their parents, when necessary.
- Assist in all areas of club operations as requested by the child care teacher.
- Regularly attend, participate in training and staff meetings.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward the positive qualities of the work environment.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to be productive and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must possess basic math and money handling skills.
- Excellent communication, listening and computer skills.
Job Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
To be considered for a Child Care Teacher Aide, the candidate must:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a High School diploma or its equivalent
- Experience working with school-aged children (preferred)
- Meet the guidelines of the Maryland State Department of Education - Office of Child Care.
