Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta is Hiring a Facility & Maintenance Technician Near Thomson, GA

TITLE: Facility & Maintenance Technician

DEPARTMENT: Operations

CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time

REPORTS TO: Fleet & Facilities Director

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

Under general supervision from the Fleet & Facilities Director, the Facility & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring BGCGA’s facilities are maintained in such a manner as to support operations in the most efficient way possible.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): 

  • Performs the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of BGCGA facilities. Conducts spot check inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are up to date and all sprinkle system are inspected and playgrounds and ensure compliance.
  • Ensures that the building is cleaned, refreshed for the next day and it is “Tour Ready” daily. Daily cleaning includes, floors, windows, restrooms, classrooms, gym and lobby/atrium areas.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance actions are conducted as per schedule and monitors post repair performance.
  • Manages the inventory of facilities, in coordination with the Fleet & Facilities Director, to ensure an adequate supply of parts & equipment.
  • Works with Safety Culture software and app to complete work orders as assigned by Fleet & Facilities Director and priorities.
  • Completes repairs at BGCGA buildings as needed.
  • Considered an essential employee. When there is inclement weather responsible for ensuring all grounds are cleared, salted and safe for staff to return to work.
  • Performs preventive maintenance task that are scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annually.

SKILLS/KNOLWEDGE REQUIRED: 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years’ coordination or general facility maintenance experience
  • Must be able to work mornings
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Good organization and diligence skills to details.

OTHER DUTIES: 

  • Assumes all other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Physical requirements include physical exertion such as lifting, standing, walking, stretching, and bending for extended periods of time.
