  • Part-Time Hours of 15 hours per week
  • Regular hours Monday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm

JOB SUMMARY

This position ensures that members are motivated and empowered to attain the best education by encouraging and assisting them with schoolwork and other educational activities, either in the Club or at assigned locations outside of the Club in an enthusiastic manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in providing fun, beneficial, and imaginative programs.
  • Maintain the health and safety of all children in the assigned area by ensuring they understand and follow behavioral expectations, and by keeping the room clean and hazard-free.
  • Utilize Youth Development Strategies to ensure members' self-esteem
  • Foster a culture of respect and trust with members.
  • Continually model and teach character, morals, and ethics.
  • Build positive relationships with member families and the community.
  • Act as an advocate for members and the Club.
  • Ensure programs begin and end on time.
  • Create an environment where members respect and seek advice from staff for any issues.
  • Reinforce the importance of appropriate choices regarding educational, personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Hold members accountable for their behavior.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated competence working with youth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation, safe driving record, driver's license, and automobile insurance required.
  • Pre-employment drug screening, background, reference, and driver's record checks required.
  • Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist; seeing to review and analyze reports, documents or other reports; hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others; speaking to be heard before groups of people; position may require to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects between 10-20 pounds

Pay: $14.55 - $15.60 per hour
