Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County- Jim & Jan Moran Unit is Hiring a Program Aide Near Deerfield, FL

Program Aide
HOURS: Monday-Friday 2pm-7pm (school year)/ Non-school days 8:30am-5:30pm
GENERAL FUNCTION: The Program Aide is responsible for assisting with planning and conducting a varied and exciting program, giving informal guidance to Club members (ages 13-18) and for maintaining a good atmosphere in the Lounge area/multi-purpose room.
KNOW-HOW: Must have the ability to assist in planning and know-how to conduct games and activities. Must be able to enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • · Plan a monthly programs with written plans due at the end of the month.
  • · Organize and conduct the Program with enthusiasm and fun.
  • · Orientate new members to the program area..
  • · Promote activities and encourage participation by all Club members.
  • · Enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies.
  • · Provide informal guidance to club members.
  • · Keep all equipment in good repair and ready for play.
  • · Keep areas clean and in order.
  • · Assist with other Boys & Girls Club activities and events as assigned.
  • · Participate in staff meetings and training.
  • · Assist in other areas within the Club as needed

MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • · Update the bulletin board to reflect the month’s activities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • · Participate in staff meetings and training as requested.
  • · Assist with Club wide special events as requested

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, at all times displaying tact, maturity, and flexibility. Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for four-plus hours per day. Skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing.

  • Job Type: Part-time 25 hours/week
  • Salary: $15.00 /hour
  • We are following CDC's recommendations and practicing social distancing.
