TEEN COORDINATOR DESCRIPTION

Immediate Supervisor Title/Name: Club Director/Eboney Breaux
Days/Hours of Service: 1 pm -7 pm, Monday-Thursday and 12 pm – 6 pm on Friday; extended evening hours and occasional weekends- flexibility required
Location: Lafayette, LA
Travel Requirements: Regular travel is required
JOB SUMMARY
The Teen Coordinator plans, develops, and implements high impact Teen programs and activities that supports our organization wide initiative to prioritize serving teens. The Teen Coordinator develops collaborative partnerships with public, civic groups, social agencies and community organizations.
TEEN RECRUITMENT
· Work with Club Director and Area Director to design and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan that outlines specific strategies, activities and events aimed at attracting and inviting teens to the Club.
· Build partnerships with local schools, community organizations and other stakeholders to leverage their networks and resources for recruiting teens.
· Offer support programming or resources to these partners that strengthen the relationship and ensure it is mutually beneficial.
· Create a teen center/space in the Club that has the look and feel of an area dedicated to teens. Create an environment where teens feel safe, valued and respected.
· Regularly assess the effectiveness of your recruitment efforts by collecting feedback, tracking participating and monitoring outcomes
TEEN RETENTION
· Establish strong and nurturing connections with tweens and teens by cultivating trust, respect and open dialogue.
· Foster a safe and inclusive space that encourages them to freely express themselves and seek guidance.
· Use positive reinforcement to celebrate teen achievements and efforts and motivate tweens and teens to continue participating in Club programming.
· Incorporate opportunities or teen voices to be heard across the organization and in their Club
· Develop inclusive engaging and creative teen programming
· Incorporate diverse activities and provide opportunities for self-expression and exploration
· Provide teens with specific and tangible support toward achieving their future goals
TEEN PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
· Establish Club programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a Club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
· Attend monthly Teen Coordinator meetings conducted by the Area Director
· Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and feedback to develop skills in the program area(s)
· The Teen Coordinator ensures quality improvement of Teen programs by conducting program evaluations, and annual written analysis of member needs and interest.
· Compile monthly reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation.
· Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities, events conducted and grant implementation, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems/issues.

Pay: $12 per hour
