Description

Primary Function:

The Program Manager will provide program guidance, implementation strategies and ensure organization deliverables are met. Administrative duties included: planning, forecasting, lesson planning, tracking outcomes and measurements, maintaining files.

Responsibilities:

BGCBC Culture

  • Demonstrate and communicate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton County (BGCBC) philosophy, objectives, standards and programs through all methods available to members, their parents, and the general public. Provide quality program activities that are inclusive, welcoming, respectful and responsive to the diversity of members, families and community.

School Sites

  • Responsible for all staff schedules.
  • Ensure the program is in compliance with DHS standards.
  • Complete Site reviews 4 times annually.
  • Ensure all lesson plans are being executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensuring that programs and activities are operated within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Answering any staff and/or parent questions regarding programing.

Programing

  • Establishes and maintains site-wide programs that ensure the health, safety, and development of our youth. Effectively communicates standards of programs. Ensures all programming is impactful, measured, and being carried out with fidelity and precision. 
  • Plan and oversee the administration of site-wide programs activities.
  • Demonstrates leadership, integrity, authenticity, teamwork, character, creativity, and passion to assure conduct, safety, and development of members, staff, and volunteers. 
  • Establishes and creates unique opportunities frequently for members. 
  • Increase visibility of Boys and Girls Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events, and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers, and media releases. 

Record Keeping

  • Create, copy, and distribute all necessary documents for Sites.
  • Oversees proper record keeping, reporting, and filing.

Additional Responsivities:

  • Assist as additional staff at Sites as needed.
  • Answers telephones, providing accurate information, screening and directing callers to other staff or taking messages as necessary. 
  • Additional responsibly as directed by School Site Director.

Qualifications


Skills/Knowledge Required: 

One of the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a non-related field from a regionally accredited college or university plus one (1) of the following:
    • Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education or elementary education
    • Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or Out of School Time Credential. Of,
    • Nine (9) college hours of credit in child/youth development.
  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood, Child or Youth Development or a related field, plus six (6) years of experience in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education; and
  • Eight (8) years of experience in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and completion of one (1) of the following, with two (2) years of employment:
    • Out of School Time Credential;
    • Childhood Development Associates Credential;
    • Directors Credential or the equivalent of; or
    • Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Group leadership skills including an understanding of group dynamics. 
  • Demonstrate organizational, staff, and project management abilities. 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to: sit regularly, use hands to handle, and/or feel; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally walk and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to drive for errands.
