Description

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The Lead Social Worker is a critical member of the Mental Health Team. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton County seeks to meet the social and emotional needs in our community through formalized mental health support in all Clubs. The Lead Social worker will support the Senior Manager of Culture & Wellness in executing the mental health strategy, programming design and implementation. The LSW will participate in the life of the clubs by performing all of the Mental Health Professional duties. Additionally, the Lead Social Worker will oversee and support the Internship Partnership Program with the University of Arkansas. The LSW will supervisor a team of mental health professionals who are charged with the day-to-day interactions, supports, and referrals needed to meet Club Members’ needs, as well as supporting and informing the organization’s social-emotional learning efforts and trauma-informed practices. The Lead Social Worker will also take on the leadership role in program component within the mental health team.

Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight:

  • Collect and view all IEP’s. Come up with interventions that align with best practices and ethical standards.
  • Conduct case reviews and provide guidance on complex cases.
  • Make referrals and work closely with third party partners who provide services to our members.
  • Monitor the implementation of treatment plans and assess the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate detailed observation and progress records and complete necessary electronic data entry. Identifies trends in data to assist in collaborative service planning.

Program Development:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Mental Health Programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our members and organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Informing the organization’s social-emotional learning efforts and trauma-informed practices.
  • Create and adapt evidence-based programming to meet club members developmental needs.
  • Build rapport with club members, identify and target areas of need within clubs based on meaningful relationships, consistently serve as a positive role model for youth.

Collaboration:

  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and community partners, to enhance the overall well-being of our members.
  • Collaborate with Club leadership on specific needs of the Club and organization.
  • Represent the Mental Health Team in meetings and discussions related to client care.
  • Provide insight and consultation to fellow club staff members around working with challenging behavior and engaging club members.

Internship Program:

  • Interview all perspective interns.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a team of social work interns, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee those charged with the day-to-day interactions, supports, groups and referrals needed to meet Club Members’ needs.

Training and Education:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for Mental Health staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for all staff to enhance their services to our members.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in social work practice, incorporating relevant updates into training initiatives.

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor and assess the quality of the Mental Health Program services through regular audits, evaluations, and assessments of clinical notes and Kid Perceptions.
  • Implement improvements based on feedback and data analysis to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Oversee the implementation of Kid Perceptions and Continuous Quality Improvement.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • State licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
  • Two years of experience in social work, with two years in a leadership role.
  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
