Essential Responsibilities andDuties:
Recordtransactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances, adjusting journal entries, andsimple financial statements using computer software program.
Prepare and reconcileaccount schedules as needed.
Perform audit,review or compilation procedures as assigned by senior associates, managers,senior managers, directors, and partners.
Assist with thepreparation of prospective financial statements, analysis of data, support forvaluations, research, etc. for consulting engagements.
Prepare corporateand individual income tax returns, payroll tax, sales and other tax returns.
Maintain propertyand equipment records, and calculate depreciation and amortization.
Perform otheraccounting, auditing and tax duties as needed in engagements and as assigned bysupervisory personnel.
Participate in community activities, and begin toestablish external referral network.
Actively pursuing or considering to pursue the CPA certification.
Assist the senior associates, managers, seniormanagers, directors, and partners as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or other appropriate area of study.
Experience:Knowledge ofaccounting principles, individual income taxes and general businessprinciples. Strong excel skills a MUST!
