Job Summary:

The Agtek Take-off Technician is responsible for accurately estimating quantities and performing takeoffs for heavy civil construction projects using Agtek software. This role involves interpreting plans, specifications, and blueprints to generate project estimates. The Take-off Technician collaborates with project estimators, engineers, and other staff to ensure accurate and timely takeoff information.

Responsibilities:

• Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate, thorough, and timely quantity takeoffs using Agtek software for civil construction projects.

• Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and project requirements to generate estimates.

• Addendums and Clarifications: Update project takeoffs based on engineer-issued addendums and clarifications.

• Information Distribution: Distribute project-related information and takeoff details to project estimators and staff.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive takeoff data.

• Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Agtek takeoff software.

• Self-Starter: Be proactive and self-motivated in managing takeoff tasks.

• Attention to Detail: Ensure precision and accuracy in all takeoff calculations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of heavy civil Agtek take-off experience.

  • Required: experience with Commercial Site Development Projects

• Software Skills:

  • Required: Proficiency with Agtek takeoff software.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with HeavyBid, Procore, Bluebeam, and HeavyJob.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and engineering requirements.

• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in takeoff data.

• Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
