Job Title: Maintenance Intern – Parts Room Assistant ($15 - $18/hr)

Job description

Summary: Responsible for receiving parts into inventory, auditing, assigning and preparing parts. Also responsible for maintaining a clean work area, creating labels and other duties as assigned. You must be the hands-on kind of person who doesn’t mind getting in and getting dirty.

Additional skills requested:

• Receive parts into inventory utilizing the existing CMMS program
• Parts count auditing
• Assigning parts to PM’s as necessary
• Preparing parts needing repaired for shipment
• Maintaining cleanliness of the parts cage
• Creating labels and assigning parts to correct locations
• Assisting the purchaser with various duties as they arise

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

Warehouse or manufacturing experience a plus

Corrugated /paper industry a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to stand for long periods, reach and stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds by team lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
