Boxes Inc. is Hiring a Digital Press Operator Near Bridgeton, MO

Summary

Print Press Operators use digital printing machines and software programs to effectively create materials per customer specifications while meeting production and quality targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to manipulate images pre-press, modifying files for sheet optimization while maximizing production

Operate digital press(es) following setup and run procedures while striving to meet or improve on estimated run times and maintaining high quality standards.

Continuously monitor quality of product being produced and before order is pulled from press, ensure perfect samples have been retained

Complete paperwork accurately and entirely

Communicate shift change instructions

Communicate to Production Manager immediately of any shortages, defective material/components, mechanical issues, excess spoilage, or incomplete job information

Maintain clean work area and equipment on a daily basis

Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance of equipment

Monitor pressroom supplies for assigned equipment and work area. Notify production supervisor of low inventory of supplies.

Assist with coordination and utilization of Press Support personnel to meet scheduling needs

Maintain personal productivity and quality standards that make possible attractive financial returns so that the company may continue to provide excellent service to our customers and ensure job security and career growth

Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being a part of a winning team and promotes personal growth

Adherence to company policies, including its attendance, is essential.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic measurements. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to correctly measure and correctly read a tape measure.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.

Other Skills and Abilities

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Creative, independent problem solver, start-up mindset with proven success in fast paced environments with ability to multi-task

Troubleshooting technical and mechanical issues

Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of print production and pre-press, as well as strong production and graphic skills

Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization

Other Qualifications

Required to work over 40 hours per week, including occasional nights and weekends required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and hot and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
