The Sr. Financial Analyst supports the development and execution of financial disciplines in alignment with the BOX Partners business strategy and performance objectives. Reporting to the Director of FP&A this role will support our day-to-day FP&A activities and company operating rhythms. You'll engage directly with functional leadership and provide support to the Operations and Sales organizations as they execute against identified business objectives. This role will have significant exposure to C-level executives and investors in support of reporting and decision making. The role will also work on our continuous improvement objectives surrounding data quality, financial reporting, business compliance, and the ongoing development of new analytical tools.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Finance:
  • Support development of annual operating plan, quarterly financial outlook and periodic forecasting
  • Support preparation of materials in connection with our periodic operating rhythms including: weekly financial flash, month operating reviews, board and stakeholder reporting
  • Variance analysis of key financial statements
  • Providing insights into the financial health of the organization
  • Identification of business improvement opportunities including revenue generation, margin-improvement and cost-reduction
  • Functional OPEX analysis and business partnering
Reporting:
  • Weekly, monthly, and annual reporting duties
  • Contribute towards the monthly Finance Reporting Package (e.g. GM analysis, OPEX analysis, headcount analysis)
  • Generate and maintain financial reports and dashboards in NetSuite to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate insights into the company's financial performance
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper recording and reconciliation of financial transactions in NetSuite
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of NetSuite modules and functionalities to support evolving business needs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within NetSuite to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed, leveraging Tableau, NetSuite, and other relevant tools
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in NetSuite and financial analysis to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ad hoc reporting to identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently.
  • To analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making.
Planning and Analysis:
  • Work with Sales team to manage the quarterly forecast processes
  • Work with the Sales teams to question and understand the pipeline data, supporting them in the best way to structure/report opportunities to reflect reality
  • Continued development of the revenue profile of the order intake
  • The ongoing development of and maintenance of the reporting tools, and its application within both the Finance team and the wider business
  • Data quality and improvement projects in conjunction with the IT group
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Confident in dealing with and working through issues and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders
  • Proven analytical ability with a focus on understanding of the drivers of the business and can providing insight to the decision members
  • Comfortable working outside of the Finance team across the business, dealing with individuals at all levels and disciplines
  • Healthy curiosity in what is happening within the business and how it might help our understanding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with clarity and openness
  • Capable of managing multiple demands on a varied workload, in a changing business environment
  • Ability to challenge the status quo where appropriate
Education and Experience:
  • Five or more years of FP&A experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or working within an FP&A function
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and management accounting techniques
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including advanced proficiency in NetSuite, Tableau, Power BI, dashboards, or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
