Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced appliance repair technician who will service customers’ luxury appliances in our service areas, especially those that have worked on Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances. We ask that you have experience in some form of maintenance & repair, electrical wiring and troubleshooting, HVAC, or other mechanical, problem-solving discipline.

Technician Responsibilities Include:

• Servicing and repairing Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances including refrigerators, washers, gas ranges, and more.
• Using diagnostic tools to accurately determine appliance repair plans.
• Educating customers about their appliances, how to best use them, and how to maintain them.
• Driving to customers' homes in the company-provided vehicle with the parts necessary to complete the service or repair job.
• Maintaining the highest level of professionalism and excellent customer relations with each customer for each appliance repair service call.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must:

• Have relevant experience, including: any brand appliance maintenance & repair, including commercial refrigeration, home refrigerator repair, oven repair, dishwasher repair, home refrigerator repair, electrical wiring & troubleshooting, HVAC, or other mechanical trade or discipline. Prior appliance repair experience with Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances is a big plus
• Possess a great attitude and professional appearance
• Enjoy the customer service side of the job to earn the trust and goodwill of sophisticated clientele
• Have a strong work ethic and be driven to deliver exceptional service and repair experiences
• We have hundreds of 5-star reviews across all platforms online and need technicians that possess excellent customer service skills; our current appliance technicians are proud of the fine work they do
• Be tech-savvy, as more and more of our repair work involves computers
• Be detail-oriented, following specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship and typing up accurate appliance service notes
• Be a self-starter who is always willing to become an even better appliance technician to better service our Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove customers.
• Be able to lift 60 lbs, push 100 lbs, and pull 50 lbs
• While we prefer a seasoned appliance repair technician, we will train otherwise great candidates for the job
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

Box Appliance offers the following compensation and benefits to meet the needs of employees and their families. Starting compensation from $25-$40 per hour, depending on experience.

• For highly experienced techs with 5 years, compensation eligibility starting at $40/hour is negotiable depending on relevant experience level.
• For less experienced techs, we provide paid training and compensation starts at $25/hour.
