The Sr. Quality Engineer will sit on the quality team out of the location near Lisle, IL. This role will work closely with the Quality Manager to drive continuous improvement in product and processes, leveraging strong skills in both quality and mechanical engineering.

Their product is used in critical devices in both industries, and quality is at the forefront of everythingn they do. With their developed team, they are looking for a senior level engineer to lead both internal and external projects.

Description

• Handling day-to-day design, supplier, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
• Resolving non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
• Assist with internal audits to help the company maintain ISO 13485 compliance
• Lead internal IQ/OQ/PQ process
• Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
• Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
• Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
• Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
• Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes

Profile

• 5 years of quality engineering experience
• Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
• Understanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques
• Experience with the IQ/OQ/PQ process heavily preferred
• Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in Medical Device, Aerospace, or Automotive industries
