Bowman Consulting Group is Hiring a Remote Project Analyst - Charleston, SC

Purpose

Manages and drives projects from start to finish by coordinating all administrative aspects of the project to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Provides support through data analysis and contributes to overall project strategy and performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. May review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level

  • Act as liaison between management team and the rest of the technical staff, as needed.
  • Provide operational support to stakeholders by tracking timelines and ensuring project goals are being met.
  • Provide support in developing and improving internal processes while supporting strategic and tactical planning and execution.

Do the Work

  • Support project managers and team leads with the planning and execution of technical projects; areas of work to include project schedules, cost estimates and budgets, project monitoring and reporting, and tracking of team activities.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including timelines, resource plans, and meeting minutes. Prepare presentations and regular status reports.
  • Research, monitor and analyze data to provide insight and action recommendations.
  • Research, maintain and update municipality impact fees, permit fees, and utility fees and serviceability and assist in preparing and submitting all applications required for municipality and utilities.
  • Assist Project Manager in the preparation of production schedules and project budgets.
  • Assist with code review and resolution of problem areas.
  • Assist with submittals to local/state/federal agencies, overseeing permitting processes for the assigned project portfolio.
  • Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP) and responses, ensuring compliance with requested requirements.
  • May assist with coordination of construction activities, including contact with contractors.
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress and scope to key constituents and adapt to changes.
  • Proactively communicate internally and externally, acting as client point of contact.
  • Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance, which could include submittals, permits, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Three or more (3 ) years of experience working on and/or coordinating multiple tasks within land development projects.
  • Familiarity in dealing with governmental agencies with thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of project management from conception to delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of data analysis techniques and deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize conclusions and confidently present well-supported arguments with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, coordinate and manage multiple projects, and multitask and prioritize deadlines demonstrated by work experience and/or academic record.
  • Ability to compose professional business-related correspondence, accurately proofread documents and read, interpret and understand Civil and Architectural Drawings.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Proficient in computer technology and in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Web Browsers (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome), and Adobe and/or Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with Deltek and PandaDoc a plus.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

  • May be eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
  • Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasional local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
