Bowhead seeks a senior Project Manager, Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) to join our team supporting the Program Office for Logistics Integrated Information Systems Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) in Stafford, VA.
The Project Manager will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and lead a team of engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.
Responsibilities:Provide oversight/input/support over engineering, cybersecurity, systems architecture, cloud engineering, SAFe, operations, integrated logistics, supply, and program management support. Responsible for managing projects or aspects of projects; providing guidance for specific tasks/subtasks; manages day-to-day activities and reviews work products for completeness and adherence to customer requirements & standards. Provides supervision of multiple complex projects and principal liaison responsibilities with client on all business, technical and cost matters for task project planning, scheduling, and implementation. Directs completion of projects within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned task order projects. Demonstrates competent writing and oral communication skills; ensures quality products and services are delivered. The Project Manager reports to the Program Manager. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
At least ten (10) years of professional experience including at least six (6) years of supervisory experience specialized in leading Navy or Marine Corps logistics and/or IT programs.
Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
Ability to manage the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific task.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must favorably pass a Public Trust background investigation. Candidates with an In-Scope DoD security clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is required.
