ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (F3900)

Bowhead seeks an Engineering Technician to join our team in Crane, IN to support the Missile Lab Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane. The Engineering Technician must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for following SOP's and established techniques. 

Responsibilities

The Engineering Technician will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation. The Engineering Technician will also be responsible for electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions and will work under the general direction of engineering staff.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Electronics Technician or equivalent experience in addition to at least ten (10) years of experience in a power source laboratory is required
• Experience with schematics & drawings
• Must possess experience reading and understanding electrical schematics
• Must be able to work and learn in a fast-paced environment where work is 75% electrical related testing and equipment setup, usage and teardown and 25% is environmental/mechanical testing/equipment setup and usage
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance but candidates that currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
